Are Isaac French & Ben Wolff the new Ian Schrager & Liz Lambert?
Who knows! Hope so, but haven't yet visited any of the new Instagram hotelier properties to see if the pixel hype matches the physical essence.
That said, Liz Lambert's Hotel St. Cecilia in Austin Texas became one of my top hotel stays in the world long ago. Why? Liz and her team built a physical space that is beyond wonderful to be in. It etches memories deep in your brain that compound as days go by. You long for the next time you will get back to that place, and have that experience. That is the power of a "wonderful physical space".
If you ever have the opportunity to visit the hotel, especially during SXSW or ACL, GO, and you will see why Hotel St. Cecilia is such a special place.
Can't get to Austin right now? The vibe of this place can be felt when you listen to the Foo Fighters song Saint Cecilia, a track that was recorded at the hotel, along with the rest of the EP, back in October of 2015. The EP, also called Saint Cecilia, released for free to fans later that year.
